It’s definitely not working ok on Mobile, either Android or iOS.

progress still don’t saving.
when the site will work normally?

Which tells me it’s probably a backend problem, although the web traffic from the browser does look a little odd when reviewing a course (lots of calls to the ‘register’ API, but I’m not sure what it was when it was working)

We are still fixing the progress issues, the learning progress on the web is not saving properly just yet. Learning on mobile should not be affected, the apps handle progress separately. However, there can be streak issues until all the syncing is back to normal.

We’ll post any further updates during the day here, and once more, thanks for the patience and apologies for the issues.

You’ve had several of us now categorically tell you that it IS affected. Progress tracking is not working correctly on either the Android or iOS versions of the app. I just revised a course on the Android version until it said I’d completed my daily goal, but on the website and after restarting the app there’s still no indication it’s recorded any progress for the day.

I’m are not interesting to mobile applications. Repair site please.

The Android app is affected. It still shows my yesterday’s streaks (and the rockets are yellow, as if completed, although I haven’t touched most of the courses today, just one).

Seriously Memrise, invest in a platform that allows you to roll back faulty deployments. There is absolutely no excuse for leaving a site like this in a fundamentally broken state for nearly 15 hours now.

seeing as Memrise isnt recording any updates of work, does this mean we will all lose our hard earned streaks? I suggest they are frozen until this error is fixed, i’d be terribly annoyed if i lost my 30 day streak due to another server error like last time

This topic is now a banner. It will appear at the top of every page until it is dismissed by the user.

At the moment, I see some progress in how the web version is working (the streak is filling as I review words, the course score is growing). But it is still far from normal because the reviewed words are not saved, same as yesterday.

p. s. Android version seems to work normally but there is the same problem of coordination between the web and the app. I see my streak progress in the web version, but the words I have reviewed are not saved here (though it looks like they are saved on the app).

So, how does one go about getting their streaks restored?

looks like our precious daily streaks are safe now
Unfortunately our possibilities of learning are not so safe yet (at least via web interface).

Streaks are not updating, at least for me.

I must have done yesterday’s two courses that I study before the problem began.

Here is what it appears like to me: I use an ipad (ios 10) to do the coursework, and a PC (win 7) to figure out what I’ve done (usually):

Before I did the courses this morning, I had these results on the website(PC):
span 5: 342/417: 33 streak. Mon to be filled in as completed.
After I did the spanish course:
span 5: 342/417: 34 streak. Mon was now filled in.

So: All that’s missing are the individual words completed and only on the website (PC).

Recap: What worked for me are the streaks & the days completed line. Seems like you’re getting close::

I’ll try arabic now and update:
Before I did the arabic course:
read arabic: 428/498: 56 streak: Mon not filled in -
After I did the arabic course:
read arabic: 428/498: 57 streak. Mon was now filled in. - so streak & day indicator are correct for that course as well.

note: What seems to be the case also is that it takes a little less (50%) of my normal daily time to get a “goal complete” indication from the web site.

Many thanks.

Update 1:: The iPad does appear to have either some local cache/recall because when I go back to the course, it can figure out what I’ve done.
Update 2:: Last thing I notice is on the website at ./home. It doesn’t show the correct order of the courses I’m working on. I did spanish, then arabic, and arabic is 2nd, spanish is 1rst in the list.

I finished one 45-minute course but it was the same questions and the number to be reviewed is not going down. Hope it will be fixed soon.

Someone changed the banner, now it says “UPDATE: Site and apps are back up.” Meanwhile, the web version is still badly out of order … I can only pray that the problem won’t turn out as unsolvable as all those hyphen and comma issues. Otherwise I would have to quit which would upset me a lot honestly

Not working for me yet …

My learning home page now says this:

Update:
The apps and site should be running close to normal again,
however, the learning progress saving and syncing is not yet fully
recovered for web.
We are working on resolving this ASAP. Apologies for the
inconvenience.

I had raised this issue (below) this morning as I hadn’t been aware of the bigger problem and this thread (website down) did not appear when searching or creating my thread about the course issue.

Not recording score on a course and same questions reappear

I wonder if we will be receiving a roll-back to right before the servers went down and all these errors occurred. Would be tremendously helpful, as I wasn’t able to review all day yesterday, and, like I said before, catching-up with what amounts to almost 1000 words today is not ideal.
