The key is not restarting over and over but picking a course big enough. (e.g. (Audio+) Angielski Zaawansowany - by pawel1e - Memrise). Getting close to the end would take a lot of time, and when you get there you will get enough words to review to keep the streak going.
Nonetheless I would like to see that change as well. Because having big streak in one course, king of blocks the purpose of trying to have it in other courses.
There is a total streak, but it’s private and it’s capped at 365 days.
And there is no badge for it.
Hi @jaimebrasil and @Rodyzi
Firstly
Getting close to the end would take a lot of time, and when you get there you will get enough words to review to keep the streak going.
Just a warning - I think “learning” means “learning new” not “reviewing”.
To be safe - and to use reviewing as a way of getting a continuous count to increase - I think you need to ensure a few words are NEVER learned. (Indeed some time ago I could not get a learning streak going on a long completed course, so I restarted a small easy level - eg level 1 - and then I could set a target.)
Secondly as some of you know, these two threads have similar discussions especially about getting a “continuous attendance (or learning) on MemRise” badge.
@DW7 I actually took my 15 day streak to 60 just by reviewing and not by learning a single new word. I didn’t want that. I wanted my streak to grow from actual learning, but that is not the case here.
Also, look at my original post. It was flagged by someone in the community for being spam, or controversial. Why?
This one was flagged, too. Why?
How you got your streak is interesting.
As far as my experience goes, one can extend one’s learning streak as long as there are some words which have not been ‘planted’ yet.
I don’t know about your posts, but top left (before the title) is an eye crossed out which when I hover over it tells me it is “unlisted”. The two posts I have referred to are still available.
