Memrise website and apps are down [ Edit: Fixed! ] (and Closed )

I got point only for the course with a goal set.

Love the Memrise program. I’ve never learned a language so quickly. So we got a little bug. Big deal. It’ll get fixed.

Is it actually worth continuing with the repeat words that all the streaks are at 0 or wait until they fix the problem and then continue?

If you had goal set you should do it.

I have PRO membership.
Do you extend me my
partnership for two days (or more if it will not work) because site
doesn’t work and I can’t repeat my words and normally learn words?

They straight up accidently turned my pro membership off for over a week and they still didn’t replace the lost days. They barely even apologised. Good luck getting anything out of these pillocks.

While the syncing and updating of progress is not working revision on the site is next to useless as it keeps cycling me through the same 10 words on each course and says that there are as many words to review as before I started.

While I’m at it, despite being a memeber for several years (around 4) I was just welcomed as a new member and asked to confirm my membership via an email and then welcomed to memrise. Where does this leave me??? BTW I have contributed to forums a number of tiems before so the new membership presumably doesn’t apply just to forums…

Incidentally @knarusk, that banner (visible on the leaning pages) would be a great place to announce or advertise this Forum so more Creators, Contributors and Users find it.

I paid for Pro and was going to pay again this month. Not sure anymore. I exclusively use the web version, and it has been pretty frustrating these last 48 hours.

30 hours now. Pathetic. Is this just an average month running this site? These people are getting PAID to run this and this is how they perform. I’ve seen thousands of people online maintain far more FOR FREE.

At the moment I can only learn the first five words on a level - because it’s not saving, there’s no way to progress down a level. Although it is recording the score.

Clearly it’s fixed and you can continue your lessons as normal!

You probably have set your learn or review (or it’s the default) to 5 words.

If you go into your settings/ preferences and increase that to the maximum allowed (20?) at least you could learn/ review 20 words per level.

Another annoying bug with the commas is not fixed for 9 days now, however it appeared in almost every course, and makes them hard to use.

While it’s understandable that “it takes as long as it takes” to resolve, do you have ANY kind of estimate of how long it’s going to take? It would at least save a lot of time coming to look at the site.

It’s now been 3 days of disrupted learning, do I need to find some other way to learn my weekly class exercises as this is almost half the week gone now?

What I do instead as there is problem with the site, is to click on the course, so you can see all the vocab and write it down instead, that way you will learn it too.

I am very sorry you are addressed with many „not really nice“ remarks regarding the difficulties you are facing at the moment. In fact, some of those remarks I do regard as really below the belt.

I don’t work for MemRise and I was just trying to help @deyan15 hoping that if the issue was a limit of five words per level, then perhaps learning 20 words per level may work. At least it would be a bit better until the team sort this issue.

It’s what has worked for me so I’m sorry it hasn’t helped.
