Attribute column data NOT shown in iOS app

I created a course and added an attribute column for PART OF SPEECH. I’m sure that I checked the SHOW AT TESTS checkbox and I can see the PART OF SPEECH data in my Android app. However, I cannot see it on my iOS app and there isn’t any pink arrow in the learning session.

There is a strange phenomenon that the PART OF SPEECH only appears in the testing (review) mode.
I tapped on the first planet then tapped a word in that planet. And the attribute data didn’t appear.
However, when I was reviewing the lesson, it did appear.
Why is that? How can I let the attribute data always show up?

I also checked the ALWAYS SHOW checkbox in my Display settings of the ENGLISH column.

Logging out of the application and then back in may help with this.

Hi, thanks for replying me. I’ve tried but the problem is still there.
Any suggestions?
Thanks again.

I’ll move this to IOS Bugs. Other people seem to have similar or the same issue:

I have the same issue, except for the fact that it inconsistently shows the wrong columns. Sometimes it will show my “Pronunciation” column on tests, which ruins the whole point, but it will not show the “Case” column, which is necessary to get the right answer. Occasionally it shows the case, but inconsistently. I have triple-checked that I have marked the columns correctly for showing on tests.

Hi there,
I am having similar issue. In my case I have created my own atribute column, but it is not shown in the iOS app whatsoever.
On the web, the attributes are ok, but the app is just ignoring them…

Same here, I can’t see the attributes column from my app despite having set it up to be shown.

Welcome to my problem I reported months ago. They could figure out what the problem was. I decided to change to Android. It works OK there.

@linkf1 ~ That’s odd. I’m seeing 2 attributes in the iOS app on my iPad. I created both of them as new columns when I created the course a few years ago.

In my case, the attribute data does shown in the test mode (the blue background mode same as your picture). However, it doesn’t shown in the learning mode (the green background mode).

Did you create attribute columns or normal columns?

@Hunter_Hsieh ~ I created the two columns as attributes, not regular columns. They are the 2 on the far right side of the screen.

This is what I see on the learning screen: (the 2 attributes are at the bottom of the screen)

See this thread for further info: Why in the IOS app the "extra information" part does not appear?

@linkf1 ~ I read that thread, and don’t seem to be experiencing the issue on the iOS app myself. I can see the attributes. I’m sorry if you can’t. Is this an issue with a specific course, or can you not view attributes in any course ? How about in the course I shared the screenshots from: http://www.memrise.com/course/349190/214-kangxi-radicals-alpha-with-levels/

There are supposed to be 2 attribute columns. If you go there, can you see them both in your iOS app ?

Can you show your screen which contains attributes in the learning mode (Learn new words)? Attributes did appear in the review mode (Classic Review) on my iOS app, however, they didn’t appear in the learning mode (Learn new words).

@Hunter_Hsieh ~ if this question is directed to me, then please look higher up in this thread. I posted a screenshot of the learning screen (and you can see the 2 attributes in the picture).

@pdao Sorry, I think I didn’t express it clearly. I mean the screenshot of LEARN NEW WORDS mode with the CREATE YOUR OWN MEM words on it. You’d posted one screenshot of CLASSIC REVIEW mode of your iOS app, one web-based learning screenshot, and one database screenshot. None of these images is the one I’m talking about.

The attributes did appear in most of the page of my iOS app, however, they didn’t appear on the page with the CREATE YOUR OWN MEM words on it. In other words, they appears in testing mode (contains tap options or keyboard) only.

@Hunter_Hsieh ~ I’m sorry, but I won’t be able to respond for a few days. I am on a slow crawl to the airport and won’t have wifi for a few days until we get back to the US. Plus my devices are securely stowed beyond my reach. I can only do so much on my wife’s small cell phone screen. I will take a look at your issue once I am re-connected again. Sorry for the delay.

@pdao It’s alright. I’m not in a hurry. Thank you very much. Actually, I’m just curious about whether the attribute appears in the page I had mentioned before. And the answer probably won’t solve the bug on my phone. So, it’s not a emergent problem.
Thanks again.

Sorry, my English is very bad. I resolve as below

after add column and logout then login again, this column will show in app.
