Words up for review incorrect

See the video for a bug that I’m experiencing.

Strangely, 11 words came up for review since I made the video. Now the number of items for review jumps between 11 and 74, rather than 0 and 63.

Please let me know if you have further questions.

Same problem, hoping they fix it soon.

same problems with all my Japanese courses

Same problem. I’ve been reviewing my items about hundreds of times and it still showing the blue review button and its really annoying.

It seems the database is working well, but the app (cookies) is not. If I delete cookie it works in the first action…if I refresh the page then the mistake disappears and if refresh again, the mistake appears again…it is very funny…

I have sent in a ‘support request’ asking that someone fix this bug.

There are three other threads relating to this bug currently running in the Forum. I’ll come back and do some ‘tidying up’ later today, but let’s give the Memrise guys a chance to fix the bug. Thanks.

I have the same problem.

They really should have monitoring active over the weekend as well, if now they don’t. This looks to be affecting many of their users, for, it looks like at least a day if, hopefully, they manage to fix it by tomorrow.

I don’t see the need to tidy things up. An appropriate immune reaction to a bug has been generated, the only appropriate way to reduce the inflammation is with developer time.

OK, but I think it’s a bit clunky to have (currently) five threads discussing what is probably the same issue. I’ll stand back now and leave it to you to decide if/when any ‘housekeeping’ is necessary. You have a better feel for these things than me.

Same here. My Korean course keeps showing 42 to review randomly.

Thanks for having sent this Alan!

Another symptom of the bug that I found is that the streaks keep toggling between two numbers. Sometimes they are completed and other times they are at the same number that I think I saw when I went to bed (after midnight).

As described by some other people around the forums, learned words are also un-learning themselves.

Please don’t  Closing some topics and pointing to the topic that seems to be the most active / has the most info is perhaps good. I didn’t really think and thought you might want to merge topics, which I thought might become confusing.

Up to you, I don’t know.

Don’t worry, I’m not going to make that mistake again!

this bug is really getting annoying…

(btw, @BlueRock68, maybe you’d want to check the forum of your Thai frequency course? before it disappears?)

It seems to be working for me now.

Likewise, everything seems to be working properly for me now as well. Thanks, Memrise Team!

Yes, me too. It seems to be working ok at the moment.

My thanks to whoever it was from the Memrise Team who switched the server off and back on again.

Apologies for the annoyance, there was an unexpected server issue from our side. :frowning2:
This has now been sorted out, you can now review as normal.
All threads related to this issue will shortly be closed. Please create a new thread if our server starts acting up again. Thanks
Happy Learning. :writing_hand:
