Hi, I have exactly the same problem. On website it shows me that I have learned 24 745 words but on app it shows me 25 124 words. Which is a huge difference.

Yep, I have the same problem too. The difference is about 100 words.

This bug isn’t fixed yet.

(Sorry this is -sort of- necro-ing on top of a necro…
Just to add as I havn’t seen it mentioned, but the count issue also goes for individual course counts (for example, every course I finish shows 1-2 words more than the course has in its total in the apps version, so it looks like I’m missing 1-2.) It just tacked on extra phantom numbers after completion (I went through and checked, I wasn’t missing anything.)
My total word count on the website vs app is out on the app by over 300 (1978 vs 1642.)

Hi - If this bug is still present please let us know. Support has raised a ticket for this issue in Oct 2018 (and multiple times before) but it had been classified as low priority. We hope it will be resolved (again) shortly. We will update you once we have more information.

@JBorrego, @MemriseMatty,

Unfortunately, I have to say that the discrepancy problem is not solved. I am still seeing different numbers between the Memrise app and the Memrise web sites.

Seconded. 22054 (web) vs. 21905 (Android) here. I wonder if the delta (149) would match the number of words that are obviously not being counted in finished courses that show up as unfinished on Android …

Oh, just saw that you wrote about Decks, @GabrieleCramer-Knebe. My figures above were taken from Memrise.
For Decks there’s a discrepancy too, but a different one: 22054 (web, equal to Memrise) and 20939 on Android.

This is particularly interesting as this means that Decks contains the number of words from official Memrise courses as well (I’ve done at least 20 I think).

@Olaf.Rabbachin, the decks and Memrise show the same number of words learned.

@Olaf.Rabbachin, @GabrieleCramer-Knebe

That’s interesting, my numbers are the same on both websites and in the apps.

Looking at my numbers has given me a headache!

On Memrise (web), Decks(web) and the iOS (app) my total words learned all show 18715 but the Android (app) shows 18705 (ie a difference of “10”). I haven’t learned any new words for a few days so there is not a simple ‘time-lag’ issue affecting the Android app total.

When comparing the numbers for my individual courses across the four sites to find the ‘missing 10’, the numbers match for all of my courses except for one - Memrise’s “Spanish (Spain)1”. Strangely, for that one course, the Android app figure (448) is 10 higher than the Memrise web figure (438). It would have made more sense if had been the other way around. To confuse things more, the iOS app figure for that course shows as “448” (the same as the Android app) although the overall iOS total (“18715”) matches the Memrise web total even though that shows “438” for this particular course.

I must disagree because I have been using , almost all the time this year, only a computer for learning on Memrise and I have used the appl only a few times. But the difference still remains.

I have reopened this issue given it hasn’t been fixed. Thanks for your examples, we will try understand why this is happening and get it fixed. Apologies for the inconvenience!
