so I just got today’s new update (v2.1.34).
After the initial crash bug already discovered, I reinstalled the app, deleting all my offline downloaded courses.
After logging in again and downloading my courses for offline use again, I’ve found they no longer work offline. The app prompts an error message saying I’m not on a network. The app confirmed I downloaded the courses and I am a Pro member. This is affecting my iPad and iPhone. Both running the new version.
The workaround mentioned by Joshua above also works for me. However, it’s very annoying, as this way, I can only use a tiny subset of Memrise’s functionality while offline!
It’s fundamentally ridiculous if an offline mode requires internet access…
the reason why I upgraded to pro was to be able to work offline. In 1 hour, I will go offline for 10 days. During that time, I can’t study offline properly…So, my upgrade to pro was a huge waste of money
i have the same problem, the work around doesnt do much good when i have 100 or so things to review and i have to go to every individual level in the course to review 2 or 3 words at a time…
@sarahhaddongrant Hi, Can you try un-installing and re-installing the app, and then try re-downloading the course you are referring to. Please let us know if this works.
I purchased Memrise Pro for Swedish and I am having the same problems with the offline feature on my iPad (the only device I use for studying). I have deleted the courses, deleted the app, redownloaded the app and the course and logged in and out with no progress. Could somebody please help me? I was really looking forward to using this option as I do not have wifi at my new home in Sweden!
P.S. I also discovered a mistranslation while using the free version… “kalsonger” are not pants, but underpants more like men’s boxer briefs… I made the mistake in a conversation and it was pretty funny, thought I would mention it.
Hello, I am a Pro member and have downloaded French courses. As mentioned in some of the previous threads, it does not work offline on my phone. I have iPhone 6S with 10.3.2 version. And help would be appreciated.
