Can anyone confirm : is user creanted content for memrise paid in the android app? My friend created a course some time ago and he will be very dissapointed that memrise getting profits of his work

If I wanted to learn the course from your friend, I would have to search for the course on the web, add it to my learning dashboard and later re-sync the Android app with the Memrise server.
The new course will be added to the Memrise app.
What I have heard is, that user-created courses are not searchable anymore on the mobile apps, so you can not add this course directly.
Memrise get’s not paid for user-created courses, but from members who roll into the Memrise Pro subscriptions, to get those features which are listed in the above matrix (e.g listen, speed review on mobile app, difficult words, etc.).
So yes, somehow Memrise might benefit from the course which your friend has created, if many users use it (for free) but want to use Memrise Premium features.
Everything might depend on what Android app version you will install.
I am using an older version myself.
If you want to add the course from your friend to the mobile app directly, it might not work as you can not search for it and only the offical 1-7 Memrise courses will be shown on the app.
How good is the course from your friend?
I would not worry too much.
Interested people could still download it to AnkiSRS (OpenSource) Windows application with with the Memrise2Anki importer plugin.

Indeed, after choosing the course on the website the content of my friend get’s synced but upper level of his course (more than 45 words) are still locked and I am requested to buy a pro version. This means that android app is monetizing his course (not only Memrise ones).
My friend’s course is about learning English words for Polish speakers

Where can I find the older version of Memrise app? Can I still use it to access community created courses?

No, only the features are paid. The content is/should be free. But I see you are talking about a locked level in a user course. Please, post the link to that course. Which part is locked?
BTW: the greatness of this community is that we can (immaterially) profit from each other’s work. If memrise makes a dime, no hard feelings. Why would I feel disappointed or envious about some one else’s progress, for something I didn’t to ask money for anyway? It’s great if sbd else fares well, without hurting others!
Thanks for letting the other users know about this. If Memrise is doing this systematically, I wonder if it could be considered a form of prohibited false advertising, because they don’t disclose any such limitations of their free plan on their web site? It seems to me that this is something that perhaps the consumer protection office could be asked to clarify. Consumer rights - GOV.UK
Because if I create a course to benefit other memrise users for free, I will expect memrise not to sell it.

Have you already checked the other threads where the app talk about locked levels on different OSes?
Sometimes this issue was fixed…either with an app version upgrade…or it was a bug with the user account which also was fixed at a later time.
I would expect that maybe some levels of the offical Memrise 1-7 courses are locked by mistake or on purpose…but not with user-created courses.
I am using Memrise Android App v2.9_3947 and I have not encountered any locked levels with this version either for PT BR 1-7 courses or user-created.

You need to search and download the .APK file for Android from trustable resources.

When I e.g try “DuoLingo apk” uptodown.com as an archive site is listed in the search result.
Trying a different version would be the first which I would check.
You could also try to learn the new level on the web portal (first 1-3 words) and see if a re-sync with the app solves your fixed issue.
