Leaderboard not showing up on app

Hi fusil24, I had to restart my tablet recently, and yesterday I noticed the leaderboards were loading for me. But I’m not sure if that was the solution because I see there has been a recent update (I haven’t downloaded it yet). My theme switched over without me updating it all those weeks ago, so I can’t tell if the fix was from the recent update or from me restarting my tablet. But restarting your phone is something to try if you haven’t done it already.

That seems strange, because when I tried to restart my phone it didn’t solve the issue for me. Perhaps the restart did manage to fix it for you, in which case you have been quite lucky. The only thing that I could think of in my case for it still showing up as blank, is that I have quite an old phone version but I am not sure really.

Well that sucks. I’m sorry it didn’t help. Hopefully they can figure out why it’s not automatically loading. Maybe more people will see this and speak up so they can figure out the common thread, because I’m sure we couldn’t have been the only two people this happened to.

I thought that I would bring this issue back up again, seeing as it has still not been resolved for me, and there was no word from the anyone on this issue. The ongoing problem with the leader board not showing up is still there, and this for me does not seem like it is an issue with my device but with the app. The only way that I can temporarily get it to work again is, having to hold down the power button for a few seconds to force the leader board to show which still works some of the time, but I have to quickly hold down the power button button and then click on the trophy symbol in quick succession in order for it to work.

I did also a factory restore on my device when long story short I accidentally locked myself out of my device, and this made the leader board work for a few days, and then It went back to having the same issue all over again. Is it possible for @Joshua or @Lien to take a look into this.

Hi @fusil24,

Unfortunately, we are still unable to reproduce the problem.

The leaderboard shows correctly on all our devices.

Out of interest, how much free storage space do you have on your device?

@Joshua, That seems really strange but the issue still persists for me and the leader board is still blank.

@sifushano This is how much space I have on my device

Well it would appear that it’s not a cache issue then

Here is a screen shot of an Android 4.2.2 device running 2.9_3719546_release-release_week_31 with only about 800MB free space. No issue with seeing the leaderboard, but by chance, came across this very intermittent Android Bugs (although I have been sporadically seeing this for a few weeks at least now ) Note that I also see it on my 5.0.2 SM-P905 …

It would seem not specially when I have a lot of space left.

Interesting, do you think that even though the leaderboard shows up for you, this intermittent bug that occurs for you suggests that there could be something going wrong? If using a near enough similar device version still shows a slight bug, then maybe something is going wrong with the version I am using causing the problem that I am having.

@fusil24 I wouldn’t suspect there to be a problem with the Android version you are using. Below is a screenshot of the leaderboard working correctly with Android version 4.4.4.

@sifushano It’s scheduled to be fixed so stay tuned. :penguin:

Thanks for the update @Joshua

Hi everyone! This is my first post on the forum.

There must be a conflict with Android’s Accessibility. I found the problem after installing an app called Dashdow for What App. Now, stop 3rd party accessibility services and try (You can see Settings> Accessibility> Services) I hope it is a clue to the developers.

Hi, I thought that I would resurrect this issue with the leaderboard as it was never solved for me, and I just still find it annoying having to use the temporary solution of pressing the power button a few seconds for it to force load. I was wondering if @Joshua would know on anything else that can be done to find a solution to this issue. I know that this issue has affected others before so there must be something that is causing this to happen.

Have you had a look at archn suggestion? I had a look at it, and it does indeed break the leaderboard.

Do you have any accessibility on your device active?

turning off “Web Guard” made leaderboards visible again

I didn’t try arcnn suggestion, but I did check on my device and I do have an app that has permission to use accessibility on my device in order for it to work. When I turned it off the leaderboard started working again. It does seem that this was what was causing the problem. I guess I would need to turn it off app accessibility when I want the leaderboard to show but it works. thanks.

It looks to me that accessibility or other 3rd party are the culprit for this bug.

However, I can’t seem to understand why they are affecting the leaderboard.

Thank you for your answer! I had the same problem since a few weeks. Happy that it’s solved now. Turning of the accessibility for one app, worked for me too
Now everything is working fine

Hi, @abobador have you turned off web guard or something like that?
