Hello BBlackrose, thank you so much for creating this course!
I’ve noticed that in the first level both “Ich heiße…” and “Mein Name ist…” are translated for “My name is…”, so I cannot know when to use one or another.
Could that be corrected?

I couldn’t see anyone around for this course so I haven’t mentioned these before but if the owner does surface at some point, I have a fair few errors/irritations like the above that I’ve found.
At the moment, if you can’t find the course creator, can I suggest you just ignore the words that have ambiguous prompts. I have my own course I do alongside where I add in anything I’ve ignored and make the prompt clearer for myself or add alternatives.
Don’t want this to seem like a complaint though! This is a great course that has definitely saved me hours of time making my own course.

Can you provide a link to this course?
I currently own at least 3 workbooks (Arbeitbuch) of this type where it is not possible to buy the Lesson books, and even with the included CDs - they are useless (maybe by design) without being enrolled in a course.
Huber has an “online course” however, it too has poor functionality, actually it does not work at all. https://www.hueber.de/sixcms/list.php?page=lernen_b2_l1_spiel_tana
Neither Memrise A or G series, or Duolingo follows the standards outlined for A1 --> C1, so cross-over learning is difficult at best. Maybe I am wrong in this assessment, but the goals of Memrise/Duolingo are IMHO much different than the goals/objectives of German Sprackschule… where anything discussed in one’s mother tongue is … um, Verboten! 
Is the above course decent, very good, or poor… as I don’t want to start another course, but I do want to make sure I am learning currently all topics within the A1.1, A1.2, A2.1, A2.2 --> that they follow in Sprachschule courses in Germany.

Looking through a few section lists it looks pretty decent… and far better than what TinyCards accomplishes from just taking every underlined word in Duo and turning it into a flashcard.
@Lien, would you be so kind to message @BBlackrose and see if he/she is still interested in updating/working with this course. There was a request many months ago that didn’t seem to go anywhere.
There are quite a few users of the course currently active.
I don’t mind helping update… but as is the first comment on this tread, there are multiple “several right answers” that are either not allowed, or not specified which is wanted. For example, abbiegen & wenden = “to turn”

making a mental note… Lesson 9 (Kapitel 8) there are many “synonyms” that need to be cleaned up and clarified.
also, re: Fernsehen/r, either make it a verb or a noun, but not both at the same time.
also, there are “hard” capitalization and … and punctuation marks that need to be cleaned up throughout this course.

Hi all,
If you’ve come here as a course user from seeing the new note at the top of the course, please let me know of any items requiring corrections.
I did a quick run through it today, deleting many poor quality, incorrect or corrupted audio clips. Hopefully, this will speed up the course some. I am also adding abbreviations as such…
n. = noun
adj. = adjective
adv. = adverb
v. = verb, including if it is separable verb, or if it is “Funktionsverbgefüge (Nomen-Verb-Verbindung)” - a verb that requires a noun to give it meaning.
prep. = preposition, including dative, accusative or 2-way accordingly
I’m not certain on how to deal with sentence fragments, and other messiness yet… but this comes directly out of the book, so I’ll do my best as a learner as well.

From the looks of it, this course has the same number of active users as the other course… yet neither course has an active creator. Nor do either courses users know about forums???
How do duplicate or old courses remain in the system?
I just found this course (which is a duplicate/clone of the original but with much more added to it) Menschen A1 (w/Arbeitsbuch) - but it has an inactive user… @Tati.ana Can you add me please and/or message Tati.ana to see if they are interesting in improving. I can’t find the mentioned forum post about this course.

I can’t seem to find a contributor for this course. As this is a duplicate, do we even need to keep this course? Seems only confusing for users that there are two identical courses, so I suggest we delete this one altogether?

Mario… I would suggest deleting the “Huber Menschen A1” originally linked at the start of this thread and keeping the Menschen A1 w/ Arbeitbuch… as that is an improved/expanded version of the original.
There are currently active users in both, so unfortunately is might make some mad if it gets deleted on them.
A lot of work… but maybe you can send the users in the original an email with the link to the other course?
And please add me as a contributor to the improved version…
absolutely!!! (hear the sarcasm?) An A1 course teaching that Stelle means only job… and that a Mechatroniker is an engineer (it is a “mechatronics technician” with lower qualifications). And Russisch and the rest just like this, without articles (languages/language names do have article)
and these only in one level of a course or absolute beginners

Hahaha… yes it needs some serious work!
But you did catch one of my editing “mecatronics” (sp?), what the hell is that? I went to an engineering university over 20 years and been amongst engineers all these years and never heard of it in my life.
Based on your response… I am going to suggest it is what we call in the US “an instrumentation technician”; one that works/knows about electronic equipment that monitors, activates/deactivates, and transmits data regarding someother process. Simplest example might be a water meter reader (technician) or electric meter reader (technician) from a utility.
I know this much… mechatronics is not an English word I have ever heard of before… even 30+ years ago when (ele)ctronics first started being paired with mechanical equipement. Do Germans have Vakuumröhre-technicians too? (Vacuum tube)
