Goals finicky and useless re: completed courses

I am currently irritated by three things that occur when goal-setting and completed courses collide.

  1. All but one of my completed courses were removed from the “With goal set” group once they were completed. “Um, excuse me, I was still using that…”
  2. One of my completed courses mysteriously did stay in the group after being completed. As I just discovered here, this is apparently because I didn’t do the magic steps of going to the course overview screen and clicking on any level. Not that I’m going to test this, since there is apparently no way to restore a completed course to the “With goal set” group once it’s removed.
  3. The reason that 1) and 2) are a problem is that it should be up to the user to decide whether a completed course stays in this group or not, and it should be obvious how to do this.
  4. For a completed course, one cannot change or turn off the daily goal, see one’s point progress towards said goal, or see one’s streak, on the website – only on mobile. So even if you could pick and choose which courses stayed in the group, it wouldn’t do you that much good unless you were on mobile, where groups aren’t relevant anyway.

I agree with you. But, are you able to set a goal for a completed course? because, I noticed that once a course is completed I can not set a daily goal for it, it can stay with courses with goal set or get removed. too strange!

I think that the filter does not work properly , because when I click on “filter–>teaching” I see all the courses I created, except one. I don’t know if the problem is recent or not.

And there is another problem: it seems that the timer does not work properly either, the goal is not achieved after 5 min/ 15 min/ 45 min, but after studying a number of words.

@Joshua @knarusk thanks for looking into these issues.

I think the 5/15/45 mins is just an estimate of how long it’ll take to get the requisite number of points. The points are actually what determine goal progress.
