FYI: Can't hit the Save and Continue Button with new footer

Just an FYI, but the new footer is covering the “Save and Continue” button in Decks which makes it unclickable. For the most part, I’m just relying on the website’s “bugginess” (which automatically saves updates anyway) to save my updates. But the footer should probably be adjusted…

Thanks! I’m glad everything for the most part has stayed the same through this update :slight_smile: :slight_smile: :slight_smile:

Hi @AxlT :slight_smile:

By your figure, I see that you are using the Memrise website. I’ll move the topic.

There is a topic that comments on tips that can be used while the bug is not fixed for both the Memrise site and the Decks site:

The link to the Decks website is (use the Memrise login): Learn a language. Meet the world. | Memrise

The button does actually work, believe it or not. You have to hover with your mouse above the A in “Save and continue”. That is where you will see that it has been activated and you will actually save whatever you have done. It is a huge pain in the butt, though, because it is quite tricky to locate exactly the right spot, but it can be done.

You guys are right. With enough fooling around I was able to find a right exact spot if I opened up my browser enough, and I did read tricks. But that’s not the point. It’s a terrible design flaw and should be fixed.

My best - x

True!

I just wanted to offer some help so that you could use the site for course creation.

Yes, it is too annoying for words :frowning:

I had opened the same topic and posted a figure. Here it is. You just have to click on the correct point. This is the new “design” :slight_smile:

Milamy thank you for moving the post to the correct place.

This is for Memrise, not Decks.

Every time I log into Decks it brings me to this site (Memrise, I guess) so I have no idea what’s what anymore hahaha

@AxlT

Hi,

have you thought about removing the footer with the help of the tool “uBlock Origin” and its element picker tool?

Hopefully the green 3/4 hidden “Save and Continue” button is not part of the html / dev element :slight_smile:

My comment here: Save and continue button does not work

UPDATE:

this problem has been dealt with!!!

AT least, today, when I edited just now, the wavy line no longer goes through the “save and continue” button, but is below it.

No need to laboriously search for the right spot any longer; the whole button is visible again!

Glad it is working, let us know if there are any more problems.

@frabcus_memrise

Since almost every day someone is asking about a problem with course creation, could you make a redirection from the Memrise website to the corresponding Decks page and/or write a couple of explanatory sentences there? A sort of a road sign could spare everyone from asking and answering the same question for the nth time.

Thanks for taking the time to write that! I had the same idea, but wasn’t sure what was technically possible.
