Whenever I make a mem, and try to make it bold or italic, it just looks stupid; it doesnât let me do it at all. eg. instead of going topic, it goestopic
You canât do bold or italics on the picture mems; it only works with text-only mems. At least, that has been my experience.

No, itâll still have same problem. Mems without images can have bold and italic formatting; mems with images cannot.

If you used your own software to add text to an image, and that software allows you to style the text the way you want, then you could upload that image to memrise for a mem, and the text (with the style you want) would just be part of the image as far as memrise knows. Memrise wouldnât alter that on the image you upload. However, if you did that, memrise also wouldnât know what the text actually says - it would think itâs just an image with no text at all. That might interfere with some features, such as mems automatically being added to other courses when they have matching words (a questionable feature, perhaps). If memrise ever did add a mem search feature that let you search for mems by text, then your image-only mem wouldnât be found that way either. But maybe theyâll never add such a feature, itâs too useful!

Well it does not work for me and I have no images in my courses. Iâve tried bold and italic and it still just looks like ** **
