Downloading course causes app to crash

I have been trying to download a course on the app. It first downloaded 50% and stopped. Now every time I click on download app, it shows the green checkmark indicating starting download, then the app crashes. I have the 2.3.29 version of the app currently.

Still can not download courses with version 2.3.30. App’s download icon (check mark) turns green and app crashes and closes. No error is listed, just get the apple home screen. Using an iphone X with iOS 11.4

Thanks for the advice, will write to @Joshua about this! But I have been downloading this course for quite a bit of time and it only recently been a problem. An update (I assume) removed my download from my phone and I haven’t been able to get it back since then.

Oh, ok then

I also can’t download courses offline. The download just aborts and follows with a message which states that I should check my internet connection. But I highly doubt the abortion of the download is due to me having a bad connection. (Internet 4G/wifi works fine with everything else. And I have even tried multiple wifi spots (all with decent wifi)). What should I do such that I can download courses again?

Could be similar cause as this one:
Can't download course offline.

Which course is it?
I wonder whether that course has a lot of audio or video included. They said that could be a problem (though I don’t know how big a course can be or how I can know how big a course is in an actual number)

I’m also having this issue. In older versions of Memrise, I was able to download the course (https://www.memrise.com/course/58866/5000-words-sorted-by-frequency-strict-typing/) but now it doesn’t work. I’m a Memrise pro user and I’m quite disappointed about this

Thanks so much for the advice! I looked at the link and it looks mostly about Android. I doubt it is my phone since its an iphone x with ios and the app up to date.

However, it is a large course, about 3000 words (https://www.memrise.com/course/160710/6000-swedish-vocabulary-words-second-half/).

I like @MarcoMarquez am a pro user, and basically, this is the only benefit I got from being pro, which makes it kind of worthless unless they introduce a new tier to support the app but no benefits at a lower price.

Maybe worth tagging a memrise team member or filing a support request and ask them to give feedback - you paid after all for something that doesn’t seem to work as expected.

Just to report that I have had the same issues reported above. I would regularly download courses for use offline (Memrise is a great pastime on flights). Following the audio bug I tried re-downloading the same course but it has been impossible to do so recently.

I’m having the same problem, on my iPhone with iOS 11, trying to download Chinese HSK 3.
I get to about 50% then the app gives an error message “Download problem”.
Happens over Wifi or Lighting-USB-ether, and with or without VPN.
If I restart the download the app crashes.

@beatrisy - I was wondering if Memrise’s internal testing/quality control/support (I am not sure how the department is internally called) sees the same problem. If not, could you kindly let us know what are the exact steps to download the course successfully? Thank you in advance!
