Course not appearing on dashboard

I’m currently doing the Toki pona complete course and it isn’t showing up on my dashboard. I tried a couple of other courses out, and they showed up (I’ve since quit them), but not this one. It only shows up on my profile under “courses”, which is really frustrating to access repeatedly when I want to do reviews.

I have a glitch similar to that occasionally where my homepage just goes completely blank. I’ve found that clearing my cache seems to fix it, and that might fix this.

I’ve just tried that, to no avail. I would’ve been surprised if it’d worked, considering I’d only recently signed in on this computer, but hey, it was worth a shot. Thank you for the suggestion!

@yayannabelle

You should have a drop-down selection box that looks like this…

In the screenshot you posted, it looks like Memrise thinks you have no courses. Did you accidentally quit the Toki pona course?

Nope, still doing it, and that’s my point - I am only doing this one course right now. When I had other courses added, they showed up, but not the Toki pona one. Considering the Toki pona course is the first course I started on Memrise, this is even more surprising.

@yayannabelle - I just tested with a second account… You’re right; there’s a bug.

On this dummy account, when I had no courses, I got the dashboard like that in your first screenshot, where it suggests, “Find something to learn.”

Then I added a couple German courses, and they showed up normally.

Then I added your Toki pona course. I was eventually able to see it, but only if I selected, “Recently learned,” from the drop-down box. When I added the German courses, the dashboard automatically selected German to show me. Toki pona seem to have no category, so the dashboard couldn’t select it for you. Instead, it behaves as if you have no courses.

Then I quit the German (and Turkish) courses, and got the starter dashboard that says, “Find something to learn.” No Toki pona. (Re-adding a German course lets me select “Recently learned” again, and of course, Toki pona is still there.)

Until this is is repaired, you’ll have to have at least on other course on your dashboard, one that has a category (like Spanish or German.) That way, you’ll have the drop-down box and be able to select “Recently learned.”

@Joshua, @Lien - Can Memrise give Toki pona a category so that it will show up correctly on dashboards?

Ahh, how weird! I’m grateful for your efforts, thank you for taking the time to recreate the error!

It seems like there’s another Toki pona related bug too - even though there’s the lil Toki pona category under the course image, clicking on it leads to a 404 page. Perhaps linked?

Toki Pana is category is currently unavailable, I don’t know when it will become available again.

For the meantime, I’ve moved the course to a different category.

The course can now be seen on your dashboard. Thank you for your patience. :smile_cat:

@ApolloNexus Your issue is different. If your dashboard is shown in incognito mode then you’ll need to clear your cache and it’ll become visible again.

@Joshua Ah awesome, it’s there and working just fine now, thanks! :unicorn:

Thanks for this, but what about all the other courses in the Toki Pona category? I would like to be able to review them too. Why has the category disappeared?

Post deleted.

I’m still having this problem with my other Toki Pona courses. Can the category be brought back? Or can the other Toki Pona courses be moved to this other category too?

hi @Joshua you know that problem I had a few months back? when I had no courses on my dashboard? well they’ve all come back… any reason why?
