Hi, I’m using Memrise in British English and one thing I’ve noticed is that the translation for ‘el bar’ is ‘the pub’. This is a little irritating, we have bars in the UK, they’re called bars. Pubs are different. I know it seems small but can this be changed? It sort of feels like this has been written by someone with a fairy-tale Charles Dickens understanding of my country!

I’m not sure how well the sentences for Course 3 level 33 work in the memrise format. Spanish often allows for a variety of word orders, but the program only accepts the order that has been programmed. E.g. “¿los demás quieren venir a la playa esta tarde?” “esta noche igual van al teatro”

In the Where in the Universe part of the Mexican Spanish course there is an error:
“the United States” is translated as “Estados Unidos” without the “los”. “Los Estados Unidos” is counted as wrong.
IMHO it should be like this:
“the United States” - “los Estados Unidos”
“United States” - “Estados Unidos”
Please correct.
In Spanish Mexico 1, we’re told pork is “el cerdo”. In my local Mexican grocery store, I see it as “el puerco”. From my initial research, it seems that “el puerco” is the meat, “el cerdo” is the animal, i.e pig or swine. Is this right?
In Spanish (Mexico) 7, the word “rellenar” is defined as “to fill.” However, “rellenar” actually means “to refill” and “llenar” is correct for “to fill.” Can this be updated, please? Also, course 7 is very buggy in its progression - it keeps jumping me into the much later lessons, and when I force it back to the proper next lesson, after I complete the lesson, it goes into a Review series that is never-ending. One odd thing about that review series, and how I immediately know that it’s the wrong series, is that the sound the app plays for a correct response is different than the normal one - it almost sounds like it chirps.

Hello! There’s some an issue in Spanish (Mexico) 2 - Level 4. In the word “the customer; the client” where you choosing words is missing one “cliente” and you cannot answer with just “el cliente”.
Maybe this post went unnoticed? It has still not been corrected, at least in Spanish (Mexico) 2 for English (UK), level 8. It still translates “el color” as “a colour”. It should be “the colour”.
Hi there is an error in Spanish [Mexico] 2 for English (US)
It is conjugating querer wrong in the tu format. It is saying “que quiere?” but doesn’t that translate to: What do they want? Shouldn’t it be “Que quieres?”
If I’m looking at the right place, it expressly says “singular formal”, so it must use the “usted” form, not the “tú” form. Depending on context, “¿qué quiere?” may mean either “what do you want?” (singular formal) or “what does he/she want?”.
It can never mean “what do they want?”, which would be “¿qué quieren?”.

@angileptol I came here today to report the el color= a color mistranslation. Rather disappointed to see that the error has already been reported in February 2017 and again in April 2018. This is INCORRECT. Here’s a screen shot:
There’s a consistent error in Spanish 4 (I’m currently on level 7 but it was introduced a while ago and has been bothering me ever since): the English translation of “no había ninguna película buena que ver” is always given as
There were no good movie to watch.
You can say (the slightly more literal) “there was no good movie…” or (more natural in English) “there were no good movies…” — but there were (plural) no movie (singular) is simply not possible.

Has anyone else had issues with the pronunciation lessons for Spanish/LATAM? Basic pronunciations are marked incorrect when I feel they should be marked as correct. As a test I had a native speaker try a bunch in Spanish level 6 and 90% of the responses were marked as incorrect.
It would also be good to be able to get more details as to why a response was marked as incorrect.
