A few alterations explained:
In this course, there are a few variances from the book. These are intentional in hopes to make it easier for you to study. Please find below the alterations in chapters 1-7:

Very interesting course. At first level can you add numbers as well, so if I type 7, 8. 5 etc, it will accept it. Typing a number is also less time comsuming also. It could be like 9 and also accepting nine

Yes, the course is continuously having new chapters added to it.
But it’s only about a chapter each month, which I think is a bit slow if you are a fast studier. The reason why I am making the course is because none others I have found include the stories.
Since Chapter 8 has over 50 words, I have broken it down into two sections.
Please find the alterations below:
Chapter 8 pt1:
( 氷 ) Icicle —> Ice
This was changed because 氷 is more commonly used as “ice” especially in compound words.
This kanji will still accept the entry “icicle” for anyone who has studied it under this meaning.
( 永 ) Eternity —> Long
This was changed because 永い (ながい) is a very basic/common word for “long”.
This kanji will still accept the entry “eternity” for anyone who has studied it under this meaning.
( 沙 ) Grains of Sand —> Sand
This was changed because the actual definition of 沙 is “sand”.
This kanji will still accept the entry “grains of sand” for anyone who has studied it under this meaning.
( 況 ) But of Course —> Situation
This was changed because the actual definition of 況 is “situation”.
This kanji will not accept the entry “but of course” so please learn it under the correct definition.
( 測 ) Fathom —> Measure
This was changed because 測 is more commonly used relating to measurements.
This kanji will still accept the entry “fathom” for anyone who has studied it under this meaning.
Unfortunately, I started this course before I realized you hadn’t completed it. Since I’ve studied the first thousand RTK kanji before (twice!) the first eight chapters now up are going by pretty fast for me, so I’m going to switch over to Nukemarine’s RTK course.
However, I wanted to tell you that I like the format of your course better than any others I’ve seen here, and want to encourage you to keep adding to it until it’s complete. (Perhaps I’ll be using it for my fourth go at RTK some time in the future.) I like 1) no readings, which I don’t need, although others might disagree, 2) primitives taught as a group prior to kanji lesson 3) Heisig’s original “mems”, which are often useful, although I usually make simpler and/or more personal ones for myself, and especially 4) changing the more abstract/obscure keywords to something that makes more sense and is more usable. So far I’ve agreed with all your changes; in fact, I’d previously made some of them myself, and liked your ideas for others.
My one criticism is that I’ve seen some spelling errors (“baceball” comes to mind) and would suggest more thorough proof reading.

Accidentally found this Forum under the Japanese Forum (clearly. lol) However, on trying to find the “Remembering the Kanji” forum on Memrise discovered that I could not find the actual course without coming back to the forum topic and clicking the link in the top post. (And thank you VERY much for that link.) This course is exactly what I want. Koohii.kanji.com just does not do it for me. I don’t know why I have such a hard time with that site but I do. And the actual course book I just forget to open and use. (So, lazy.) So, thanks, again and you might want to check why “Remembering the Kanji” doesn’t show in any form on Memrise or Memrise search or any I can figure out to search for. (Unless it’s supposed to be a secret. I am cool with that, too. sh-h-h-h…

Is this course still being maintained? (No reply to my reply of 3 weeks ago.) I got up to Lesson 8, part 1 and found that the questions and answers were reversed. It is asking for the Kanji, rather than the English phrase or word. I liked the course but, without any further work by the creater, will sadly move on. Thank you for all the work you did on this course. (I am, of course, now moving to the memrise course, Remembering the Kanji, Volume 1, which has all the 2000+ Kanji of Volume 1, RTK.) Thanks, again.

My deepest apologies. I have been a bit caught up in life recently and have not been able to modify this course in the last few months. At least for now, I have fixed the testing issue with chapter 8.
I think I’ve been focusing too closely on making each chapter really great. Since I’ve focused too hard on memes, the course does not have a complete list of kanji still. How would you guys feel if I added all the words at first, then went through, chapter by chapter adding in the memes later on? The memes are what takes forever to do.
Anyway, I’ll do my best to keep adding as many words as possible. If anyone is interested in helping me out with creating this course, please let me know. I can certainly use it! 
Real life does that. Your work is appreciated. Ironically, the other RTK
(Vol 1) Memrise course has all of the 2000+ words but the memes are not as
nice as yours. Then again, I usually end up making my own very short story
about 25% of the time. It would be nice if you could put your memes on
Nukemarine’s RTK (VOL 1) course. At any rate, thanks for an awesome course.

Chapter 9:
( 洞 ) Den —> Cave
This was changed because 洞 is more relates to a “cave”.
This kanji will still accept the entry “den” for anyone who has studied it under this meaning.
( 胴 ) Trunk —> Torso
This was changed because 胴 refers to the “trunk” aka “torso” of the human body. Changed to “Torso” to avoid confusion with a tree trunk.
This kanji will still accept the entry “trunk” for anyone who has studied it under this meaning.
( 宴 ) Banquet —> Feast
This was changed because “feast” is easier to spell and remember than “banquet”.
This kanji will still accept the entry “banquet” for anyone who has studied it under this meaning.
Chapter 10:
( 末 ) Extremity —> Last
This was changed because 末 actually means “last/end” and it’s compounds generally mean the end of things.
This kanji will not accept the entry “extremity” so please learn it under the correct definition.
( 朱 ) Vermilion —> Scarlet
This was changed because “vermilion” is such an obscure color. “Scarlet” is essentially the same color and much easier to remember.
This kanji will still accept the entry “vermilion” for anyone who has studied it under this meaning.
Chapter 11:
( 兆 ) Portent —> Omen
This was changed because “portent” is just a more difficult word for “omen”. Changed to “omen” to make this word easier to remember.
This kanji will still accept the entry “portent” for anyone who has studied it under this meaning.
( 告 ) Revelation —> Announce
This was changed because 告 more relates to announcements than revelations.
This kanji will still accept the entry “revelation” for anyone who has studied it under this meaning.
Chapter 12:
( 脊 ) Spinal Column —> height
This was changed because 脊 means height.
This kanji will not accept the entry “spinal column” so please learn it under the correct definition.
( 旺 ) Effulgent —> Flourishing
This was changed because 旺 means both “effluent” and “flourishing”. Flourishing, being easier to remember, was chosen.
This kanji will still accept the entry “effluent” for anyone who has studied it under this meaning.
( 鉢 ) Bowl —> Pot
This was changed because 鉢 actually means “pot”. The kanji for bowl is actually 碗.
This kanji will not accept the entry “bowl” so please learn it under the correct definition.
( 釣 ) Angling —> Fishing
This was changed because “fishing” is a more common phrase than “angling”.
This kanji will still accept the entry “angling” for anyone who has studied it under this meaning.
Are you considering all the Kanji in the book when tweaking keywords? There is already a keyword for “End” which is the kanji 終, same for “Fishing” 漁
There are also keywords very close to the ones you are introducing (such as 栄 flourish, 阪 Heights, 窟 cavern… etc)
Tonbo makes a good point. The RTK alphabetical list of keywords is your friend when tweaking keywords.
I think it’s a good idea for you to prioritize adding kanji over stories (or mems, as memrise would have it). It can be helpful to get ideas from other people’s stories, but the ones that come out of a person’s own experience and imagination will work best for them anyway.
Your kanji for ‘ashes’ shows the ‘by one’s side’ radical enclosing the ‘fire’ kanji, which is incorrect. It should be the ‘cliff’ radical.
Thanks for this course! I cant wait to see the mems for all kanjis. Take your time, I also recommend that you and Nukemarine team up his course is filtered based on daily usage and you make great alterations! Please?

I was considering the other kanji in the book, however I didn’t notice that my PDF was incomplete! @BJohnsen thanks for the tip about RTK alphabetical list of keywords. I will use this from here on out when tweaking keywords. Sorry in advance if I need to go back and alter a few that clash with future words. I’ll update you guys here if that happens. (which it probably will, so very sorry!) I’ll get this done sooner than later to avoid you studying clashing keywords.
@BJohnsen, I’m looking up the ashes in the course and 灰 is listed. Seems it has the ‘cliff’ radical.

Though I’m not sure about adding my memes to another course. Fairly proud of the course I’m creating now (incomplete as it is, once finished it’s going to be a beast).
