[Course Forum] Italian courses contributed to and by Sandslane

Hi Sandslane,

Is it possible for you to correct errors in the Intermediate to Advanced Italian course?

In Level 19, there’s a typo in “raggione” in the sentence “Credo che Sonia abbia raggione”… can you get rid of that extra ‘g’?

Thanks,

Aleida

Thanks so much for the quick fix…and not a moment too soon because it just came up for review…:grinning:

Just dropping by today to let you know that the word “think” is missing in this sentence in Level 19:
What do you (sing. pol.) of his latest film? (use of ‘ne’ to mean/imply ‘of it’)

Can you please fix this?
Thanks,

Hi @sonoaleida - good spot - corrected.

I really appreciate having the ability to communicate with you about the typos or other errors I might spot as I work my way through the various Italian courses I’m taking. In too many of them there is no way to contact the creator of the course to let them know of things that need to be corrected…:disappointed:

Thank you for being so responsive…:hugs:

Thank you @sonoaleida - lovely to be appreciated! Yes it is more difficult now to contact with the new forum system as so few have joined though @Patrizioso is here and as he created the course I am sure would be only too happy to amend. I am also contributing to a few courses where the creator is no longer active and have also my own courses where other people have found errors. It is easier to spot errors when the course is not your creation!

It’s me again with today’s typo for your attention:

In Level 21, “moglia” should be “moglie” in the sentence "È meglio invitare anche sua moglia?"
By the way, these past few Spoken Italian levels are frustrating…they are really testing my limits and my patience :pensive:
Aleida

Corrected - I haven’t done those levels - perhaps I will take a look!

Oh poor you

Patrizioso,

Poor me for having to plow my way through these difficult levels, but lucky me for being able to take this course. It is very comprehensive, and I am learning so much…even if some of it is way over my head. Thanks for all the time and effort you put into creating and maintaining this challenging course.

Forgive me if this has come up before but in this course: https://www.memrise.com/course/1252/audio-intermediate-italian/1/

disubbidiente is correctly given as disobedient with a u and bbi and the alternative is disobbediente with and o and bbe .

I thought the word was disobbidiente with and o and an bbi.

If you agree, could you add that as another alternative, please?

According to word reference and linguee it is disubbidiente or disobbediente and definitely bbe. There are no examples of disobbidiente in linguee.

Thanks - perhaps it’s changed since my 1975 Collin’s dictionary!

Ciao,
Thanks for working on this course! I want to ask if the audio can be enabled so that we can get listening tests? That means the creator has to enable it though, not a contributor. Can the creator be contacted?
Cheers.

Hi @yhksyd Which course are you referring to? I support courses by different creators.

Hi there, sorry, I forgot to mention the course. It’s the Audio Intermediate Italian course by Aurora!
Cheers!

This one https://decks.memrise.com/course/1252/audio-intermediate-italian-inglese-italiano/

The audio is (only) for the Italian.

Hi @yhksyd,

  • I have created two Bonus Audio levels at the end - try them.

  • They will test different ways once you have fully learned them (and have a flower).

  • Tell us which you prefer. (And how it works - I always find the audio is slow to come on and may make it hard for the reversed level, when you have to select the correct audio.)

  • It would take many hours to create each new level and at present we haven’t event created reversed levels for the learning course.

Sorry @yhksyd I haven’t been in contact with aurora about the course. I asked memrise to be a contributor ages ago.
