Hi there,

I want to start off by thanking the course creator (and contributors, if there are any) for this fantastic course. You’re doing a great job at updating regularly and the pictures section is a nice touch.

Secondly, I want to call to attention some changes in global leadership:

Austria: Christian Kern is now Federal Chancellor since 17 May 2016.
Turkey: Binali Yıldırım is now Prime Minister since 24 May 2016.
Philippines: Rodrigo Duterte is now President since June 30, 2016.
Taiwan: Tsai Ing-Wen is now President since 20 May 2016, no longer president-elect.

I haven’t finished the course yet, but those are the ones that need updating so far. This is a good list to cross-check with: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_current_heads_of_state_and_government

Thanks again for your course!

Iceland: Sigurður Ingi Jóhannsson succeeded Sigmundur Davíð Gunnlaugsson after the Panama leak scandal in April 2016.

Laos: Bounnhang Vorachith assumed office on April 20, 2016.
Benin: Patrice Talon assumed office on April 6th, 2016.

Thanks for the updates! I think creating a facebook group would be much easier to check for.

@Genghis,

If @Zurreal (and others) include your forum username preceded by the @ symbol in their future posts (ie “@Genghis”)you will receive an email notification to let you know that they have posted. It would save having to set up a separate Facebook group.

All right. Thanks for the info. @alanh

@Genghis Would you mind making me a course contributor? I read the level on it and I figured that I could help out with updating the names when I find them rather than posting it here and waiting for you to fix it. Not that you’re not prompt :slight_smile: but I figured it’s easier. I’ve made plenty of courses in the past so I know what I’m doing.

@Genghis

"Uzbekistan has started three days of mourning as it buries its president, Islam Karimov, who spent 27 years in power. […]

Karimov, who died on Friday at the age of 78 after suffering a stroke, will be buried later in the day in his hometown of Samarkand, about 300 km (185 miles) southwest of the capital."

@Genghis Hey! I love the course, and I’ve been with it for about two years now, but there are a few consistent issues with slides not accepting last names. I brought this up for a few leaders on the old course forum, and you did a great job fixing them speedily then.

I’ll be going through later this week to figure out exactly which ones have the issue (I’m still going through the new leaders), but I’d also be happy to go through myself and fix them myself if you’re willing to make me a contributor. Editing tedious metadata is kind of my thing anyway.
