Done, please read to slide for course contributors.
Thanks for the help!
Awesome. I’ve gone through and fixed all the offenders I could find, and also removed a dummy Berdimuhamedow in the dictators section. Cheers!
Just heard on the tv news that the King of Thailand has passed away. Not sure of his name, or if he is listed in this course, but if he is, it should be noted. The crown prince was mentioned as his successor, after an extended period of mourning. Thanks.
Estonia has a new president Kersti Kaljulaid. The first female president of Estonia.
Seychelles (President) | James Michel -> Danny Faure (16/10/16)
We only have Estonia Prime ministers on the course, should we add the
president as well??
Why not?..
Removed Dilma Rousseff from current leaders
According to Wikipedia: “Estonia is a parliamentary republic in which the President is a ceremonial figurehead with no executive power.” There was a suggestion at one point on the old forum to make separate “Ceremonial Leaders” levels. What do you think? Could be overkill if we start adding ceremonial leaders to existing courses and also many (most?) people will just want to learn executives.
Hey, I’ve been trying to update the course on forbes 15’ (photos) and forbes billionaires 16’ , but something seems to be wrong with the database… Do you have the same problem??
Greetings,
I haven’t noticed an problems, but I also haven’t updated anything since San Marino and copyediting some of the last name entries. I’ll check in a couple days.
Croatia (Prime Minister) | Tihomir Oreskovic -> Andrej Plenkovic (19/10/16)
Estonia (Prime Minister) | Taavi Roivas -> Juri Ratas (23/11/16)
Lithuania (Prime Minister) | Algirdas Butkevicius -> Saulius Skvernelis (22/11/16)
Prime Minister of Italy is Paolo Gentiloni as of 12/12/16
Currently the acting president of South Korea is Hwang Kyo-ahn (since 12/9/16), however Park Geun-Hye still has the title of president.
Also an orthographic note on Korean names: They should be accepted with a space as well as a dash, e.g. “Park Geun Hye” “Hwang Kyo Ahn,” Memrise is no longer automatically accepting these so a contributor will have to add the alternatives manually.
Tsai Ing-wen (President of Taiwan) should have “Tsai” (family name) accepted as an alternative, not “Ing-wen” (the personal name).
Thanks so much for the addition of Paolo Gentiloni! However I noticed Matteo Renzi is not yet listed under “Former leaders,” if someone is working on this course right now I apologize, I seem to see a little “construction dust” as I study at the moment.
To all editors: Rather than moving all Obama administration officials to the “Ex-Leaders” levels, I have retitled all the relevant levels so that they now end in “Obama Administration.” I will be adding dates to them over the next few days, but it is a tedious, manual process, and will appreciate any help if anyone else wants to jump in. We will also need to create new levels for the Trump administration, and add names as people get confirmed, so again, help on keeping that up to date will be appreciated.
Ok, Obama administration dates have been added (went quicker than I expected). Trump cabinet still has to be dealt with though. You can watch for updates here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cabinet_of_the_United_States#Cabinet
I’ve fixed Tsai ing-wen 蔡英文 alt, last name is Tsai 蔡, ing-wen will not be
accepted as correct
Just added Matteo Renzi as former leader. PLEASE WHEN DELETING CURRENT
LEADER BE SURE TO ADD THEM AS FORMER LEADERS!
Fixed, also added their respective names in Hangul.
