I don’t use duolingo(anymore for a long time), would not know how to get the word list or anything about that bug. Tut mir sehr leid!
If you still have your login you can see all your words here https://www.duolingo.com/words.
I have completed the Gernan course (a few times) now and I don’t practice it there anymore either.
Those look like only words you completed. It does not tell you what words are in what model and because of Duo’s stupid AB test system, I really can’t even tell what tree I have.
I have a problem on audio tests on the iphone app. The word for"because" has no sound. Kind of hard to get it right when the sound isn’ there. :). Thanks!
There are a few words for because… which one are you talking about? and on what level?
Weil, level 22. I’ve always puzzled over why people need the level to find a word. I just go to the database and search for the word in question. Do people use more than one database? If so, why? Is there some advantage to using more than one database?
anyways, I fixed it for you.
Hi guys!
Thanks for all the work you’ve put into this course. I find in incredibly useful in helping me learn the vocabulary, so that I can focus on the grammar in the Duolingo courses.
Just a question. I’ve noticed that Duolingo has begun to use split verbs in their lessons (for example, zutreffen). However, these verbs are almost always in the Memrise course as just the main stem (in this case, treffen), which often have a different meaning than the compound. While I don’t mind learning the extra vocab, I think it would be more useful in terms of the course to teach the compund version.
according to the database, zutreffen is in there already. If it not, state what level it should be in based on Duo, somebody here can add it in and I can add the voices.
There are a few instances where simply putting the article will result in the correct answer. For example, “Die Übung” and “die Universität” will both accept “die” as a correct answer. Similarly “Das Gymnasium” will accept “Das” as a correct answer. These examples are all in level 76.
Hi, perhaps it is introduced later in the Memrise course, but in Duolingo it starts being used in “Present 2” (currently level 55 in the Memrise course).
There are some other ones too. I can’t think of what they are right now because I didn’t think to write them down, but I know one begins with “auf” & one with “von”.
Another new word in the Duolingo vocab: Jahrzeit (Dates 2/level 53).

I may have fixed them. I’m not sure. Let me know.

I went and added zutreffen from the data base to that level. I could not find it anywhere in the course for some reason. It is a good verb. It also means ‘‘to pertain’’.

Do you mean Jahreszeit? Jahrzeit is pretty uncommon.
It probably was “jahrezeit”. I likely typed it wrong!
Also “der Zahnarzt” in “Medical” (level 51).
ETA: “aussehen” (also showed up for me in Medical, but may originally appear elsewhere).

Added Jahreszeit, and made it interchangeable with ‘‘die Saison’’. It is important to note there is a slight distinction with the two. Die Saison could also mean the season in sports. But you would never use Jahreszeit for that. The german words tend to be stricter in their meaning. While the borrowed french/Latin words tend to be flexible.

Thanks, added.
I will wait on aussehen till I know for sure what level it belongs in.
Ubung and Gymnasium seemed to fixed. “Universität” still has the problem. I also just noticed it for “Lehre” as well.
Try again when you can.
Hi again,
Posting some more new vocab from the latest tree.
die Ahnung - idea (Phrases/L2)
alles klar - all right (Phrases/L2)
die Pferden - horses (Plurals/L7)
die Bananen - bananas (Plurals/L7)
die Bohne - bean (Food 2/L28)
das Eisen - iron (Food 2/L28)
das Fahrrad - bicycle (Travel/L34)
genug - enough (Comparisons/L43)
die Schnecke - snail (Comparisons/L43)
als - than (Comparisons/L43)
aussteigen - get off (Present 2/L52)
Imperative is moved in the new Duo tree; it falls between Colors & Occupations now (currently it is level 101 on Memrise, but would now be level 39). It seems to have some new verbs too (geben & bleiben seem to have replaced sprechen & beigen).
I was also wondering if it would be possible to make mitarbeiter and arbeitnehmer interchangeable? Or add “coworker” to the translation for the former.
Thanks!
I am also a German lerner and by perception of the two words, they shouldn’t be interchangeable. But we need to ask some native.
