@guestgulkan, Yes I have used similar tricks on Goggle to force missing sounds or mispronunciation. And when they don’t work, they don’t, and you’ll have to look elsewhere

@guestgulkan I think I got it from Pod101. I can’t remember. I’m always on the lookout for more audio sources - where do you get yours from?
@guestgulkan, you have lots I don’t! Mp3Gain’s normalisation isn’t good enough for me for this process; that’s why I use Audacity, where I remove silence, sometimes noise (but not very effective). I also try to “normalise” manually, using my ears and Audacity’s tools. With individual words, it’s usually no problem, but with phrases, especially sentences, I sometimes have to increase the volume of the softer sections. I also change the tempo sometimes.
I never use Forvo because I find most are crap.

I wonder if you could share some of your audio, like in Dropbox, for example, such as 50 Languages, Indonesian Way…
I don’t keep any of the audio I use. I do my edits, upload, and they are not stored. So, if Memrise kills my audio, that’ll be the end of my courses!
I haven’t managed to record from my phone - how do you do it, if that’s what you’ve done? If you can, there’s a dictionary I’ve installed, which has quite good audio - Kamus Line.
