Audio Review - all answers the same

Hello - not sure if this should be in ‘bug’ or is more a ‘how to’ question but:

I’ve created a korean language course where most of the words have audio attached to them.

However when I get to the audio review part in the iOS app all the options have the same audio file - which is the correct one:

Pressing any of the above audio buttons will give the audio for ‘shoot, film’.

I’ve trawled through the options for my course but cannot find any options which may help set this up properly.
I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling the iOS app but still no luck.

I use someone else’s korean course and the audio review works as expected in it.

Have I set my course up incorrectly?

I’m having the same problem. Wrote to support, but no answer yet. Maybe in a month or two. :confused:

I’ve been trying to figure this one out as it is driving me crazy.
I hope someone from memrise can use this info to help debug.

I’ve tried:

  • Creating a new course with levels.
  • Creating a new course without levels.
  • Adding sounds by uploading.
  • Adding sounds with the built in web recorder.
  • Logging out of my account and back in.
  • Deleting and reinstalling the app.
  • Logging out of the app, then deleting it, then reinstalling it.
  • Creating a new account and adding the course from my old account.
  • Creating a new course on my new account and adding it to my new account. This worked for the first course! However subsequent courses I created had the same issue.

If there is anything I can do to help debug this please let me know. Every time I come to an audio question I have to ‘skip’ it unless I am 110% sure I know the correct answer.

This is one of my favourite parts of memrise so I hope someone can help!

I have the same issue. All the audio review choices in the app are the same. On the website version it works fine with different audio choices but not in the app.

I’m also experiencing the same problem with a course I’ve created. Conversely, the other courses I join to learn run properly.

I’m having this same problem in both the iOS and the Android app. Web version works fine.

Nope. Got a promise to respond, which is nothing like a real response.

I have the same problem in one of my courses, but not in all of my courses :s Checked all the settings, and the settings for the course with the bug are identical to the settings for one of my courses that has no problems at all. :confused: @RobertKnight8a - Any luck getting a response from Support yet…? :slight_smile:

Nope. Silence. I’ve noticed this occurring with more of the courses I am taking lately, so they seem to be going backwards, at least when it comes to supporting user created courses.

How annoying. :confused: It’s been a bug for so long now, you’d think they would have fixed by now. :frowning:

Same issue, have written to Memrise twice about it with no response yet. Hope they can find a workaround soon.

Still experiencing this issue - it would be nice if they could fix it sooner rather than later.

Almost a year on from the original post this problem is still ongoing. Come on memrise, sort your shit out! I have been learning Tagalog with memrise for the past few years. I was previously a paying customer but decided against renewing my subscription due to bugs such as this. @memrise If you fix this i will re-subscribe, but not until then.

I accidentally solved the duplicate answers problem by two clicks.
“Add level” + “Delete level” (at the bottom of Edit Course page).
It worked for me. I’ve no idea why…

“Add level” + “Delete level” - Unfortunately it does not work for me.

For those who are experiencing this issue, please link me your course and the word which has the audio issue.
