Wow! 1500000 courses!

Wow! There are more than 1500000 courses now! That is so much! I thank the Memrise community! It’s so impressive. Many people create a huge amount of gorgeous courses. People like Baas or the EasyPolyglott group are so exemplary: Create courses for learners from all over the world. Very nice!
So, here is the 1500000st course: http://www.memrise.com/course/1500000

yeah, impressive… unfortunately, some of the best course creators (I mean here people working on difficult languages, higher levels courses, etc) migrated to others sites and/or stopped creating any courses altogether. It is absolutely understandable; so much works just to find one day that memrise announces the deletion of community based courses.

Welche anderen Seiten denn zum Beispiel?

duolingo? perhaps

(duolingo is one of the worst …) anki for ex. For Chinese and Japanese there is a whole universe of software/apps/etc

Anki is very good, but ankiweb does not have too many shared decks for the languages I am interested in. Is Ankiweb the only source of shared decks?

I gave “languages flashcard” in google, got this endless listing : https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=languages+flashcard&sa=G&gbv=1&sei=A_IFWeSYE6KX6ATegZXIDg;

first hit: http://www.fluentu.com/blog/best-foreign-language-learning-flashcards-apps/?lang=en (of, course, they own app is the best; I stick with laptops and tablets, my phone is for work phoning, neither google nor memrise has lost anything in the business of my clients)
