Words deleted from level in browser still appear in iOS app

Hi,

when you delete a word from a level in a course in the browser, it will not appear if you study that level in the browser but is still present in the iOS app.
This seems to be an old bug that has been reported before for the Android app (Deleted words showing up in app).

As this bug creates confusion when learning/reviewing words can you please fix this?

There are plenty of sync issues in the iOS app and as mentioned one workaround is to log out and in.

Logging out and back in was the first thing I tried when I noticed this - didn’t fix it.

There’s also the draconian solution of deleting the app and re-install it from the App store.

But frankly speaking, the MemRise iOS engineer(s) should really spend some time debugging and fixing their database sync code. It’s extremely fragile and full of bugs.

Been there, done that too and it made no difference whatsoever.
Completely agree, this is a bug in the sync code, and it should be fixed.

Noticed this in versions prior to 2.3.20, I’m on 2.3.21.6156 now and the bug is still there.
I’m running Memrise on an iPhone 8, with iOS 11.3.
