I think the new design looks very nice! However, this site is not useful to me without mems 
They were the most effective way I found to get vocab to stick in my brain. Without them I have no reason to stay
I hope you bring them back soon, at least for user-created courses! I want to be able to continue using this great resource and recommending your site to other learners.

I bought a subscription on Wanikani now for Japanese as it comes with (its own) mems.
They help me learn a lot faster. Just grinding down words like i was taught in high school feels like five steps back.
