Why won't my pro subscription cancel?

I signed up for an annual subscription for memrise pro in May 2017 and payed using a credit card on the online website for memrise. Now I want to cancel my pro subscription so I went to my account settings. It showed me my membership status and when my next payment was due. Then on the bottom, it says “Not happy with pro? Cancel”. So I clicked cancel and then I clicked “go free”, and then it lead me back to my homepage and tells me that I changed my plan from pro to free. However, when I go back to my account settings, it still shows the same things: my pro membership status, when my next payment is due, and the bottom link: “Not happy with pro? Cancel”. So I logged out and still see the same thing, so I clicked cancel again, and I still see the same thing repeatedly. It’s as if I’m stuck with my auto-renewal subscription and I don’t want to be subscribed to pro and pay auto-renewal anymore. I’d like to leave pro and cancel my auto-renewal/not be charged for any renewed subscriptions. What do I do now?
