Never mind. It’s just damaged, not broken. Bleh. Another wonderful change.
Sorry, could you be more specific? When I open a level, there is an ignore button and when I have still used it today to ignore a number of words.
If difficult to describe, a screenshot will help. Let us know if it is still an issue; what happens that shouldn’t happen or what doesn’t happen that should happen.
The change is that it’s only available after typing in an answer, and only by typing in an incorrect answer (due to auto-advance). It used to show on the screen while waiting for an answer to be typed in, and then the testing would pause if “ignore” was clicked on. I know it’s a really trivial thing, but it is annoying. btw, I’m talking about during testing, not when you go to the course page and see the individual levels.
That’s right - it shows/showed during the wait time. I am using the Android App - it is still there and installed new version yesterday and used the feature today, i.e. I can ignore before clicking advance, while waiting for the right answer.
Are you talking about the web or the App?
I’m talking about web. Ah-hah! That’s why we’re seeing different things. (Probably.)
l0rri mentioned from the very beginning that it is about the web version, look at the category where she put the msg in…
Then I fully agree with you - the web should have an ignore button right there and then when and as soon as a word is presented for a test or learning.
@memrisesupport : could this be put in as a future request? It will be very helpful for both Memrise as user created courses, to have the ignore button immediately available when a word is presented in testing/learning.
No need or reason for wasting time going into the level to ignore it…
Yes, that’s right. I often only read the message, not the category.
they should just revert the change, the ignore button functioned as l0rri said, for years behaved in tht manner, but… a sloppy code with many changes, with ziggies and colours, with open ends and eating resources at the users end
