When difficult words are no more difficult

Hi Memfriends!

I don’t understand the logic when the Memrise algorithm understands that difficult words is no more difficult for me. I press the difficult words review button, go through the words, and after finishing the reviewing, it shows the list of the difficult words. And if the Memrise thinks I know the word well, it removes the “lightning” icon (I know I can do it manually). But now I am repeating the same words for a week and they still remains marked as difficult. Should I remove the words by myself, or there is an algorithm which will do that as soon as it understands I remember the words? If so, why do I learn the whole set of words for so long time?
What do the number means at the end of a review near the word, like 27/29?

If you put a word or phrase to DW it won’t come off unless you take the lightning off again. If you think you know the word tap it off. Some words/phrases just need more exercising, even more than memrise thinks.

so if I add a word to the DW list then I have to remove it by myself, and if the Memrise adds a word to the DW list after spelling mistakes, then it will be cleared automatically after a few repeats?

That is my understanding. (With “a few” = 3 for me on the web.)

you are correct; in app “a few” = 4 correct ones

thanks guys!
I wonder if repeating’s number depends of the kind if mistake (red when a wrong word is written or yellow when one letter is misspelled)

Have not noticed that
