Whats wrong with new "Difficult words" drill (and why I hate it from the bottom of my heart)

“Difficult words” practice by design means that its a list of words you have difficulty remembering.

Making a special list and presenting it in a way of special practice is a brilliant idea.

However, Memrise R&D managed to make yet another tactical blunder here….

So, how does it (poorly) work now.

First step: you are presented with a “difficult word” in advance.

Which is unnecessary in my humble opinion, since you are sincerely trying to remember those little fellows, not to cheat with this sneak peek.

Second step: you have to type difficult word which is already written! Why? You were just shown it! Why Memrise is steeling away our chance to actually memorize the word?

Please remove this strange and unnecessary labeling.

I am here for studing, not for a copy-book mechanics.

Agree with this. It is an odd change.

Totally agree. I want the difficult words tool as it was. I want to remove a word from my difficult words list when I feel that i’ve learned it … but instead memrise thinks that repeating it ONE time is enough … I’m totally disappointed

I agree. It is too slow, and it is worthless if it shows you the word ahead of time. I used it religiously in the old system, but have now stopped using it entirely.

Does anyone know how can I repeat difficult words more than one time before they are automatically deleted from the difficult words list ?
