What does (p) and (t) mean?

I sometimes see the signs (p) and (t) after a word or sentence.

Does anyone know what that stands for?

Temporary or Permanent.

estar or ser

In your screenshot,
the § is giving a hint that “is” will translate to “es”,
and the (t) is giving a hint that “is” will translate to “está”.

But temporary and permanent are an oversimpification, because locations always use “estar”.
