Website's Dashboard layout has changed - Why

The Dashboard selecting “With goal set” has changed to chaotic (at least for my OCD). A couple of days ago the courses changed from orderly … putting the streaks in order from smallest to largest in ascending order. And when the daily goal was completed on a course it put it in order of the streaks to the done courses. It was easy to see which courses still needed to be done because they were all on top.

Now the courses are a mess, the order of streaks is random, courses completed are on top in order of completion, not amount of streaks. It is now more difficult to hunt down the courses not completed, they are intermixed with completed courses. Why was this done.

I liked the web version of the Memrise so much because of the order. I use the web version about 98% and only use the mobile version if I do not have access to the web version and don’t want to lose my streaks. I am doing 14+ courses at the same time.

Please fix it to what the Dashboard version was before.

Sorry if ths sounds like a am rambling. My order is gone.

It is not the first time the dashboard was changed. It helped me to create groups which only I attend. At least then there is a fixed order of the courses. You’d still have to check on the main dashboard if your goals are actually done but apart from that you can keep a nice, relatively uncluttered overview.

have you found a way to remain inside the group when going from course to course? I normally get thrown back onto the main screen when I exit a course, so have to enter the group again before picking the next… any suggestion/solutions much welcome!

I totally agree… listing the courses “with goal set” in order of streak length and putting the courses with the goal complete at the bottom was MUCH nicer than the current disorder. I also have 14+ courses on my “with goal set” dashboard and use the web version almost exclusively.

Please put the “with goal set” dashboard order back the way it was so it’s easier to see which courses still need planting/watering each day.

Well, I just made an extra bookmark to access the groups - that means I usually don’t exit the course but just click the “group” bookmark instead. I got used to this pretty fast so that I hardly ever enter the main screen “by accident” anymore.

@Joshua

Are you guys at Memrise planning to get the previous Dashboard course layout back?
Please, pretty please, to help out an OCD person getting desperate. :grin:

My own solution is to open each course in a new tab (right click on a course to access) then, when I close the course/tab, I return to the Groups tab and don’t have to select it again.
