"Verdi" or "Valuta"

“verdi” meaning “value” and “det er valuta for pengene” meaning “that’s value for money.”
(Norwegian 6, Lesson 1.)

Is it wrong to say “det er verdi for pengene?” Where does “valuta” come into the aforementioned sentence, if “verdi” is the world for “value?”

It’s just a common phrase - “valuta for pengene”. “Verdi for pengene” sounds strange, and it sounds like it’s poorly translated from English.
Even though “verdi” means “value” and “valuta” means “currency”.
