Using what we know

Could Ben or an admin or something–put out a request for someone to write a story, or a dialogue that uses the phrases learned in these language courses? The words and phrases we learn are not exactly random, but they are a bit out of context. I wouldn’t care if the story or dialogue is not professionally written; it would simply need to incorporate the words and phrases we learn.

This is more than just to keep things interesting. The thing about learning a language is that sometimes word order is switched from one phrase to another, or a form of a word, such as an article, would seemingly be one form, but it takes another form because, well, that’s just the way the language works.

If I could read a dialogue using the words learned, I would end up memorizing the sentences in the context of a story. Outside of that, I’m trying to memorize a dictionary, or a list of phrases. I might even know a phrase and forget that I know it.

So, dialogues?

Thanks,

I think this is a really good idea. Learning ready-made sentences is a thing. Reading someone is something else, there is always some differencies.
