Going through a backlog recently I found there were a few words that I wanted to ignore, but I couldn’t as you can only ignore words on the ‘Presentation’ screens in your session, and you only get those when you answer incorrectly (Also I’ve been skipping the presentation screens through another script ).
To get around this I’ve cooked up a userscript to provide a way to ignore the last word you’ve answered.
Once installed you can activate the ignore via a keyboard shortcut (configurable in the script) or through a clicking a link on the left side.
That’s kinda neat…but for me at least I’ve found that you can answer correctly and still click “see answer” which gives you the “ignore” feature, you just have to be quick about it.
These days I’m mostly ignoring words because I’ve got them wrong due to an ambiguity issue and it’s part of a course I can’t edit - it would nice to have ‘ignore word’ directly on the “wrong answer” page instead of having to click “See answer”.
I don’t use this script but I use the escape key to bring up the item page while reviewing. This works whether you got it right or wrong - does your script also remove this functionality?
I am unaware of such a functionality; are you referring to pressing escape before answering the question? This marks the word incorrect and takes you to the presentation screen.
To answer your question, the script adds a shortcut only and doesn’t fiddle with other existing shortcuts.
You can press escape after you answer to bring up the item screen and it doesn’t impact whether your answer is marked right or wrong - as I said I’m not sure how this interacts with your script.
