I was adding words to my course from a novel, and when I got to this one, I couldn’t find it on dict.cc or linguee. Anyone able to assist?
Leo says behelmt means ‘helmeted’, so I would say unbehelmt means ‘without a helmet’.

It is a made-up word, I think, I have never ever heard it before. But obviously it means “un-helmet-ed” 
Gotta love German
