Unable to upload pictures to Mems

Howdy,

For the past two days now, I’ve been unable to upload any pictures to Mems that I’ve created. After pressing upload, the Memrise servers are contacted, the image uploads to the Memrise servers… and then nothing. The Mem just stays blank:

The problem has been occurring for me on these two courses, using PC/Web:


I’ve tried using both the Memrise and Decks platforms, as well as different PCs, and Chrome and Firefox, and all the same - the pictures don’t display after appearing to have successfully uploaded.

Is a dev able to look into this?

I am having the same issue… I tried to create a mem uploading an image with Google Chrome both on my computer and Android device, Microsoft Edge and Mozilla Firefox. I tried to create one and editing in my profile as well. None of those worked and I don’t know what to try anymore, so if anyone could help me, it would be sweet. Thanks.

i cant still upload the images even by the firefox or chrome

and it isn’t working from opera and i’ve changed the language

Hi there,

I’m using Memrise for learing English but when I tried to upload pics to my course, “upload a picture” next I select picture (jpg,png… etc) and nothing is going on… (I tried 10-15 minutes … and nothing)

(I tried firefox, chrome, ms explorer in PC with win10, and android chrome, brave)

am I making a mistake? where?

No, it’s a bug which we’ve reported and which should hopefully be fixed shortly.

same problem here.
uploading new words without a picture greatly reduces my mnemonic capabilities.
hope it doesn’t take forever to fix the problem.

This problem seems to have come back again. For the last two weeks or so I’ve been unable to add images. I add words to mems but r when I click the button and navigate to an image it refuses to upload the image. It’s not the size or format (jpegs or gifs are under 20kb) I’ve also tried in memrise.com. Any ideas?

Yes, mems got worse. For a few weeks I could not upload pictures, but adding mem-text was ok. Now mem button does not respond at all.

allow us a little bit more time on this. its proving to be a bit more annoying than we thought but we are looking at it.

Add Mem doesn’t work for several days now. This appears to be a long-running issue that Memrise is unable to fix. The entire premise of Memrise is to use Mems, so this is a crippling defect that needs to be fixed asap.

Good news! It’s working OK today. I was able to upload an image and add text.
