Unable to add column to database

I’m a contributor to the course JLPT N3 Vocab (with audio) [memrise.com/course/24172/jlpt-n3-vocab-with-audio].

The window comes up fine, but when I click “add” nothing happens. I’ve tested on both Firefox and Chrome.

I’ve also tested adding a column to one of my own private courses and that worked fine. Though the course is much smaller. So is this a thing where contributors can’t add columns or is it because this course has a large database?

Another user has informed me contributors can’t add columns. Guess I’ll have to get a hold of the creator to get them to do it.

Would it be possible to add a prompt or error for future users so other people aren’t being confused by this?

In the meantime, there’s this explanation in the Memrise "Knowledge Base"of what a contributor can and can’t do: http://feedback.memrise.com/knowledgebase/articles/525167-add-a-contributor-to-my-course

I can add an extra column if you like. If you leet me know whether this should be a regular column or an attribute column, along with the column’s desired title and any non-default settings you’d like to add, I’ll take care of it asap.

Sure. It should be a regular (non-attribute) text column called “Synonym”.

Thanks a lot for this, Lien.

Pleasure, I have added the column. Let me know if you need help with anything else.
