Typing pinyin tones in Android

I have started Mandarine Chinese 01 and I’m having some problems with pinyin tones. How could I write them? I know some resources in Windows, but I like to use Memrise in my mobile,so, anyone knows any app, keyboard configuration or anything? Thanks at all for reading me, and please, excuse me for my poor English (I am trying to improve it, too)

Are you using the Android app on your mobile phone, or working through the web browser?

Thanks for answering. I’m using the Android app. Any suggest?

On most devices, if you long-press a vowel on the basic keyboard, you can get an option that works.

For example, if you want to type o with the third tone, hold down the ‘o’ key longer than normal and then choose õ, for example (which Memrise accepts as the third tone).

Have a great day!

Hi Joseph, thanks for the answer, but it doesn’t work in my phone. Some tones miss in my keyboard: I can type all the tones of the “e” vowel, but the third tone miss in “a”, “i” and “u”, and I only can write the second and the fourth tone in the “o” vowel. I have a Samsung, maybe Samsung phones have their specific keyboard with this problem in it. I have tried to download diferent language configurations for the keyboard (English, French, Italian…), but It didn’t work, neither.
Have a great day!

Hello! Thank you for your comment!
I think the necessary pinyin tones are always provided at the bottom of the screen in a typing test, and you can simply choose from them. Could you give me a screenshot to show the place where you encounter pinyin typing trouble? Is it possible that you might have confused a translation test, where you only need to write the English translation with a pinyin typing test?
Have a nice day!

Thanks por answering, Xia, and you’re right about the tones at the bottom of the screen. I usually use them because I don’t have any other option, but I think that it’s too easy in this way. I would like using a full keyboard instead of choosing between 5-7 options, I believe that it’s more pedagogic in this way.
Have a nice day and I’m sorry for my poor English, it’s not my mother language

Thank you for giving your feedback, and I’m afraid we couldn’t do much about the keyboard right now. However your suggestion is very much appreciated and we will take that into account for future updates. And, apologies for my poor English, it’s not my mother tongue either
