Hello. For the majority of my life, I have been interested in the Arctic, and by extension, the Inuit people, especially the language of Inuktitut. With this said, I am planning for the first tattoo that I get to be the word "perseverance’ in Inuktitut. The trouble is, however, that I have been unable to dig up a translation of the word “perseverance” in Inuktitut, despite my extensive combing of the web for it. I know that Inuktitut is a polysynthetic language, so I’m not sure that there is a direct translation, much less a noun, meaning “perseverance”, but instead, my guess is that there would at least be a root word meaning “to persevere”. Anyways, I would really appreciate it if somebody could tell me how to say “perseverance” in Inuktitut (with syllabics, as opposed to Latin script), or at least the closest thing that you can get to the word. Thank you for your help, because assuming that I find the translation, I’ll have it tattooed on myself in the near future.
