Hi @keepthafaith, both mean the same - zero. The difference is in usage. Нуль is a more scientific (абстрактный нуль, равно нулю), ноль is more conversational. There are exceptions too, like стричь под нуль, начинать с нула etc. I guess, you learn on the way. Best of luck!
