I’ve got used to the daily notification on my android phone - useful, altho it tends to ping 5 minutes after I’ve done my daily session, so not that useful.
Now I get 3 or 4 pings every day, one after the other, with different messages: learn a new word, check out this … or whatever.
All lead to standard features I’m already using.
Whoever thought this was a good marketing idea: it isn’t.
In fact you’ve turned a perfectly happy, long term Memrise user into one so irritated I’m going to consider “ditching and biching” the app if this continues.
Please sort it out by giving a “only 1 notification a day” option in settings, or going back to 1 notification a day (preferably first thing in the morning rather than 5 mins after I’ve used the app.
Has anybody found the settings to turn these notification on and off? I’m quite used to coming back to 3, 4, or even more notifications which are equally useless as the OPs.
And yes, I know how to suppress ALL notifications from an app, but would like to keep mine on for the time being to check on the progress (hopefully) of fixing the download issue.
Seems Memrise got rid of the notification settings. They were in the Profile/Settings, but I don’t see it there anymore. I had turned off notification a while ago and luckily I don’t see this problem.
