Too much help

Why have you suddenly started to give me clues underneath? I don’t want it and how can I get rid of it?

It seems that you didn’t see the Memrise announcement that was made a couple of days ago.

No i didn’t see this announcement (where would I see it?) but I don’t see the relevance. Since yesterday, when I am asked a question I have letters underneath so all I have to do is solve the anagram instead of trying to remember the answer. This is happening in all my courses, foreign language ones and all others. I don’t want this help as it makes it too easy and I’m not concentrating on remembering the answer, just trying to work out the anagram. I’ve looked in settings but I can’t find a way to get rid of it.

Here on the forum? I usually check the forums once or twice a day and I always keep an eye out for any “Memrise Announcements” so I heard about it that way.

I am finding it hard to follow your argument here. If you are unhappy with how memrise looks - _since these changes made by memrise - _ then it would make sense to join the other people who are asking for the changes to be reverted. If a lot of people make a lot of noise together, then they will be heard. If isolated individuals make isolated complaints in different places all over the forum, then it is likely that these complaints will not be seen.

I urge you to add your voice to the rest so that something will be done about this stupid change.

Yesterday was the first time I’d used the forum - so forgive my ignorance - I didn’t realise there were other people complaining. Now I look, I can see them complaining about the auto-accept, but not about having letters underneath to choose from. I’m not talking about foreign language script, which is obviously needed, I’m talking about anagrams of the answer in English. I can’t see anyone else complaining about this.

no, it is not needed there, it is ruining learning as well If you’re using ab/ublock you can add a filter there: http://community.memrise.com/t/ublock-adblock-solution-for-the-removing-the-virtual-keyboard/19471/2
