To love french traduction(important)

to love is it “adorer” or “aimer” in french I can’t understand it because on the english course for french speakers
the sentences “what does he love to do” mean “qu’est ce qu’il aime faire” in french
Is this really correct ?

Hi! I’m a native French speaker (from Québec). “Adorer” means the same as “to adore” in English, though it is used maybe a bit more often in French compared to English, as an alternative to “aimer”. For example, I can say “J’adore faire mes leçons sur Memrise tout les jours” just as much as I can say “J’aime faire mes leçons” (and really, it it a bit more emphatic), but it sounds a bit awkward to me to say “I adore doing my lessons on Memrise every day”; I’d be more likely to use “love” in this sentence in English rather than “adore”.

As for “what does he love to do?” (you didn’t include the question mark but I presume there is one in the course), yes, it does indeed mean “qu’est ce qu’il aime faire?” in French, that is correct.

Thanks I’ll give you
