The Meaning of 成交

In DrewSSP’s HSK 6 course, 成交 currently has a primary definition of “to complete a contract” with alternative defintions of “to clinch a deal”, “to finish a contract”, “to seal”, and “to reach a deal”

The Wiktionary entry for 成交 has a definition of “to close a deal; to conclude a transaction”.

I’m kind of lost as to the specific meaning of this word. Does anyone know if it means “to complete a contract” as in “to reach a deal” or as in “To finish all of the work that was specified within a contract, so that the contract is now complete”? Or does it maybe mean something else?

Thanks

if I look at the examples, I get the slight impression that it is closer to “close the deal”
