Seems also have been reported here (along with another issue): The word count is incorrect and I found my own course edited
There is another more recent thread as well, but I cannot find it.
Does this bug prevent you from learning or reviewing or anything else? Or is it just cosmetic?
Edit: found it: “You learned 582/506 words”. Could you confirm whether it is the same or else what the difference is? Thanks.
it’s the same
@Joshua wrote something I believe on a similar topic, I think just ‘re-saving’ the database by moving a word around, so the it’s automatically saved again. And then problem was gone. But I cannot find that thread; probably wrong search term. Anyway, @Joshua can you help?
I know this topic is old, but today I came across the issue myself, and have a suggestion what the cause is.
I had re-downloaded this particular course earlier in the day. So, the word count matched the website, and learned the few remaining words in the course (i.e. I finished the course).
Later I deleted three words on the website; words that I had already learned (because they were doubles). Because I did not redownload the course again, the APP has still it’s memory these three deleted words, flagged as having been learned - i.e. 1124 words.
Though, on the website, the total word count of the course is lower i.e. 1121, because 3 words were deleted.
It seems that the first number (1124) is what the APP has registered as number of words learned. The second number (1121) is apparently synced from the website.
On the website itself it says nicely: “1121 / 1121 words learned (979 in long term memory)” - the number in long term memory is the number of learned words minus the difficult words, in my case indeed 42 according to the web.
