I made an account just to say this. I love the sound effects in Memrise, but the clicking sound when I type in a word needs to stop. I don’t want to have to turn off sound effects because I find them very satisfying, but I really hate this noise. Why is it so loud?

Are you talking about the app (Android? iPhone?)? If you’re talking about the Android app, you might be referring to the key-vibration which might come over as sound. Try going to your settings and unticking the “vibration” item.
I’m not sure I understand. Do you mean “vibration” in the memrise app or on my phone? On the Memrise app I don’t see a “vibration” setting, just “sound effects.” And I already have the texting clicking sound turned off when I text on my phone.
I’m not sure what it’s called in the English version of the Memrise app (I can’t explicitly set the language there). On my phone, there is a “Vibration” setting underneath the multimedia settings (right below audiotests).
The “app” is what runs on a phone or tablet. I was referring to the app on Android. It might be different on iPhones/iTabs.
I appreciate this is an old post but I’m noticing the same. Specifically an iPhone. I’ve compared system and app settings between my iPad and iPhone and they’re the same. Memrise ignores System setting for keyboard clicks.
