Testing direction - feature request?

So, creating courses I often have to duplicate the levels to have chinese - pinyin and english - pinyin. This is quite annoying especially when making corrections, and doesn’t feel 100% natural.

Considering Chinese/Japanese and possibly some other languages based on pictographs need a 3-way testing i.e. character - pronunciation - meaning, would memrise be better if for these languages instead of selecting a 2-way direction of testing per level could add a 3 way testing, where the you’d automatically be asked for meanings/pronunciations/characters randomly, and the answer of course would feedback to the frequency of with which the words would come back?

Just a thought and I realise it would be difficult to get any feature request through but what are your thoughts? Or is this something that have been discussed to death earlier?

Cheers V

The short answer is that Memrise doesn’t consider or at least doesn’t publicly discuss user suggestions.

@Arete_Hime’s answer may seem harsh, but it’s essentially true. This feature has been suggested before, but Memrise hasn’t acted on it.

Still, it was nice of you to write it up, and we hope you stick around the forums

Well, I still think it makes sense discussing it, perhaps coming to a conclusion on how this ideally should work in the best of worlds. Then you never know, Memrise perhaps starts listening to their users again instead of only focusing on developing premium features?
