Tags. What are they for?

Hi, I’ve created some courses and have created a tag “code” so people should easily be able to find them with the tag code I give them. However, the search conducted via the search course input field does not search in tags. This brings me to the question, what are tags for? Should we be able to search for tag specific terms?

they are useless, they just make the title of the course (url) huge…

it is alleged that the “short description” is very useful for app users, because they don’t see the course description or something similar
