Version 2.9._3836_memrise
I have 48 difficult words in a course in my Android application and 0 on the website.
These 48 words are definitely in your database: I reinstalled the application and I still can see them in the application.
I can not use the course “Difficult words” in Android application, because it’s disgusting. And I don’t want to use the course “Review” on the website, because it does not have “writing” test.
Please get me the synchronization back, or fix the “Difficult words” in the Android application.
until Memrise come to their senses in regards to their app ‘improvements’ I suggest you re-install the previous version (before the rockets and planets etc), which provides decent Difficult Words functionality. The link is somewhere on this labyrinth of a forum… and don’t forget to disable auto-updated.
I don’t think the synching is completely correct either with the old app, but if you only do the Difficult words on the App then you should be fine.
mthierst, I will try and report here, thank you.
I installed the version 2.9.3813 (without planets and rockets and etc), and this version has the same problem: I can “generate” difficult words in the application, and I don’t see them in the website.
I also generated a difficult word in the website, and I don’t see it in the application.
Then I installed very old version 2.7.3796, and it has the same problem too (it also has a problem with Russian text encode).
I think my problem is on the Server side.
Isn’t there a userscript to force typing-only (=writing) tests? You could use that on the website if that’s what you want to do while reviewing.
risgrynsgrot, many thanks!
I installed two scripts:
http://www.memrise.com/thread/1364557/
http://userscripts-mirror.org/scripts/show/428427
and the website works perfect now!
But I hope, the android application will be fixed, I like to use it in the subway
A few bugs have been found concerning the difficult words.
Glad you found your fix on the web version.
